Colombia Beats Brazil in Copa America Match

Díaz Double Wins It for Hosts

Luis Díaz inspired Colombia to a 2-1 victory over Brazil on Tuesday night in an emotional match that saw his father watching from the stands after being released from prison. Díaz scored both goals for Colombia, with Richarlison scoring a consolation goal for Brazil.

The match was played in front of a sell-out crowd at the Estadio Metropolitano in Barranquilla, and the atmosphere was electric. Colombia started the match brightly and took the lead through Díaz in the 10th minute. The winger cut inside from the left and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Brazil equalized in the 25th minute through Richarlison, but Díaz restored Colombia's lead just five minutes later. The winger latched onto a long ball over the top and slotted home.

Brazil pushed for an equalizer in the second half, but Colombia defended resolutely and held on for a famous victory. The win moves Colombia to the top of Group B, while Brazil is now third.
